Ed Gibbons reflects the tremendous kindred spirit and work ethic of our province's pioneer heritage. He is a devoted husband, father and community leader.
Forty years married to Carolyn and with three grown children - Mark, Darren and Margo - Ed has been a proud Northeast Edmonton resident for over 34 years.
He is a community leagues volunteer, a former MLA, and a three-term City Councillor with a well-earned
reputation of personally serving his constituents.

- Is working to develop the Northeast Land Study for future growth
- Continues to expedite funding for sound attenuation barriers in northeast communities still waiting for buffers to rail and road noise
- Continues to facilitate Domtar land reclamation negotiations
- Is working with administrators and developers to ensure the appropriate growth of our community
- Is working to give 167 Avenue “urban street system” status thus laying the foundation to rebuild it as the collector roadway it has become
- Is working to expedite the development of exits from Matt Berry and Hollick Kenyon neighbourhoods
- Has provided leadership establishing waste collection services for Horsehills residents
- Has provided leadership in the completion of 153 Avenue to Manning Freeway into Clareview
- Has provided leadership to reduce high density numbers planned for the Matt Berry neighbourhood
